Pop's Appointment

Thank God! Pop's cancer in his lungs is growing relatively slow and he won't have to start treatments right now. He does have metastatic lung cancer which is growing, but the more time before treatments the better! They are going to monitor his lungs with scans every 3 months and we will deal with treatment options when his cancer does grow large enough to treat it. Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts. Keep them coming!

Cancer Sucks!

Well, I just got a call with the results from Pop's cat scan they did a couple days ago. The good news is that dad does not have cancer in his head or neck. The bad news is that unfortunately, the cancer has spread to his lungs. He has at least 10 eraser size nodules on each lung. Next step we are awaiting his appointment with the oncologist to find out his treatment options. He meets with the medical oncologist on September 30, 2008. Cancer sucks!
