Update- July 2009

Here is the latest update from Pops...

"Tuesday was my Dr’s visit to review results of my recent CT Scan and see how the Oral Chemotherapy Drug Tarceva was working. The results were disappointing for Dr Shin as he was looking for a reduction in size of the cancer nodules, (cells). The good news was that the largest of the cancer cells had not grown. But other smaller cancer cells were growing at a slower rate and new cancer cells were identified. Next steps will be to continue with the drug Tarceva and more CT scans in early September. At that point Dr Shin will evaluate results of blood work and the CT Scan and either continue with Tarceva or look at experimental drugs for future treatment.
